Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Conor McGregor- two exceptionally well known, brash, and outspoken showmen of their fields!
And, history was made.
According to The Mirror, this fight was projected to generate a hefty amount of 500 million pounds.
The fight was played for over 12 rounds and was Mayweather’s first fight in two years and also was Conor’s first ever professional fight.
Conor currently holds the UFC’s lightweight title and is also a featherweight champion. Now he has faced Mayweather at the middleweight limit of 154 lb.
He came into UFC in 2013 and in 2015, helped the organization to prosper to be one of the most successful ones. Also, he broke the UFC buy rate record at UFC 196 and UFC 202 and became the first man to hold two UFC titles simultaneously.
Mayweather is the winner of all his 49 professional boxing fights. He is now 40 and is coming out of his retirement to fight with Conor Mcgregor who is 12 years younger than him!
Getting Mayweather back in the ring was always about the payday and finding an ideal opponent for him.
Although, this won’t be a title fight and there has been plenty on the line for both the stars. Mayweather score is 49-0 and might be finishing his career at 50-0 and Conor has taken a break from UFC to especially enter against Mayweather for this fight.
