The first trailer was released back in April 2017. And it didn’t tell us much. It was as cryptic as the trailers for The Force Awakens. Though we did get to see some of our favourite characters such as Rey, and Kylo Ren. So, we know that they will all return, woohoo! We also saw Rey used the Force, which was pretty exciting!

Here’s the latest trailer as confirmed by Disney.

The long-awaited Episode VIII will be in theatres on December 15, 2017! That is only a couple of months away, and we are excited! On the bright side, this gives us enough time to watch the rest of the episodes again. Most fans prefer to do that in the following sequence: IV, V, I, II, III, VI, VII.

The main criticism received by The Force Awakens was that it was too similar to A New Hope. Fans wanted to see some development in the story, not an unexpected reboot. So naturally, people started to wonder if The Last Jedi would have a similar fate.

Writer and director Rian Johnson, however, put all rumours to rest when he confirmed that even though Episode VIII will “borrow” some elements from The Empire Strikes Back, it will not be a remake.
