Hailing from Kampung Gelong Gajah, Kedah, this amazing woman isn’t letting disabilities prevent her from living a full and productive life.
Nursamawati, 33, doesn’t have use of her four limbs. Yet, she is successfully managing and running a business, raking in profits for her family’s needs.
She runs her mum’s online business selling bottled soy and chilli sauce under the brand Mahmudah. This inspiring lady uses her tongue to navigate social media sites and sell the products. According to news reports, her efforts have paid off! Since 2015, demand for the bottled sauces has risen to 4,000 bottles monthly.
Known as “Kak Long”, Nursamawati who is the eldest of five children has been described as a strong and determined woman by her own mother, Saudah Shaari.
“Kak Long always wants to see my business to succeed, even though our sales are slightly affected this year due to competition but she never gives up and always operates her smartphone to promote it,” Saudah said.
Nursamawati’s story was first highlighted in 2015, and since then she’s taken every day and lived it to the fullest.
